I write and think about African art, design and space. My perspective is formed by movement: between Antwerp and Dakar, between cultures, between positions. I know no gaze is neutral, mine included. What I'm after is African art without the soft-focus — no exoticism, no borrowed frameworks. If you're navigating the same terrain, you're in the right place.
